Within the UK, polygamy is illegal but the home office will allow people to stay with a visa as long as only one of the partners is identified as 'the wife'. As the marriage took place outside the UK then I doubt the legal authorities would pursue the matter unless there were other issues associated with the relationship (e.g. one wife is less than 16 years). He probably told the home office his other wife was a friend of the family and offered to sponsor her for the purpose of immigration.

I know that in Korea some follow the Mormon tradition which is many marriages. If you choose this way of life then that is your choice but it is seen as a legal contract Idaho or Korea. I am not sure if I can comment on your personal relationship but think very carefully.
