Someone told me once the rule is 1/2 the mans age plus 7 is the youngest a man can go. As crazy as it sounds, try it for any age and it yields a pretty reasonable result.
In this case - he's 24 - so 19 is the youngest he should go. Sorry.

On of the women I have felt the closest to all my life is 7 years younger than me and I met her when she was 14 (suffice it to say I never did anything, I am not one to hurt people like that) and we clicked. I don't know why, or how, but we did.
And we remain close friends to this day (I for a time fell very hard for her, much to my chagrin).

Too big for my liking at that age. If you were 20 and he 27 it'd be a little better. You 22 and he 29 even better.

I think it depends how mature you are for your age. I recall dating a guy when I was 19 and he was 9 years older than me and it lasted over 12 months. If you are the kind of girl that giggles and constantly texting her mates and isn't able to hold an adult conversation then no, it isn't a good idea.
Aren't there any guys out there more your age that you could date!

I think it depends on the person. One of my friends was 17 when she got with a guy who's 7 years older, but she's quite mature for her age. You tend not to notice the age gap and they're very happy together. But with some people an age gap like this would be a bit controversial. I think so long as you have genuine feelings for each other, it's fine especially as you're over 16. People can be very judgemental but the age gap tends to become less obvious with time.

Honestly it's hard to say. But at that age 7 years might be a quite a gap.

RIGHT NOW, IMO yes it's too big.
but later on it won't be.
my daughter is 18 and her bf is 22 and sometimes their gap is too big.
my hubby, 11 years younger than me but I was 44 when we married... we don't even notice it now...
