Is this a sinus problem?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has ever had a problem like mine. I did a lot of internet research but I couldn't find a condition that matches the symptoms I have. I know the most obvious answer is that I have a problem with my sinuses, but I'm not sure that is the case. The symptoms I am experiencing are not being able to swallow mucus and I feel I have a lot of it accumulated behind my palate and having a very bad odor in my throat and nose. My throat and nose swab test results came back negative. The reason I'm not sure this is a sinus problem is that I tried using the Neti Pot and it didn't have the slightest effect on my symptoms. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this?

Thank you everyone who answered. I know the best thing to do would be go see a doctor, and I will. The problem is that I have to wait at least one week for my appointment, and by that time my symptoms usually go away (but they always come back)and I feel silly going to the doctor when I feel perfectly healthy.

we really cant diagnose or anything, but maybe you should have a dentist check it out too, it could be an abscess or tooth root issue.... otherwise go back to the doctor and ask for furthur testing! :)

It sounds like it could be, but you'd be better off seeing a doctor. Only then will you be sure.
