I think you need to fill us in on how long "pretty long" is. 15 mins, about right... 45 mins? Long time. If he's at the 45 minutes and getting quicker, than he's becoming more comfortable. If he's at 15 mins and is getting quicker, then he's just getting more aroused each time.Basically, there's no rule that a guy should last X minutes. And if he's cumming quicker, than that probably means he's getting more relaxed and/or excited.
