writes: My boyfriend proposed to me and I was shocked but kind of happy about it, then a week later I found out that his ex girlfriend had been engaged a few weeks before him and i, and he was still talking to her, but not in an acceptable way.A month ago he told me he wanted to start trying for a baby, and he doesn't think he can have kids as there is something wrong with his testicles not properly dropping which he believes causes him to have a low sperm count, if he even produces sperm that is - but he still wanted a baby.Only for me to just find out that his ex girlfriend is two months pregnant, it feels like I'm just being used as a competition kind of thing and I wonder if he is as over her as he makes out.I've not mentioned the baby thing to him as I saw it on a social network page and I don't want him to think I'm snooping up on him.Is this a coinsidence or am I just a "pay-back, second best" relationship?

i can't really say since i don't know how your relationship is really going... BUT when a guy friend of mine's ex girlfriend got married he started talking about marriage, too. and he started chasing after every girl in sight - including me. and it made me feel the exact same way. and kind of amused.
sometimes seeing how happy someone is in a relationship can make people frantically seek the same thing?
or maybe he was really serious about you and seeing someone take the plunge and make it made him realize you two could as well.
