Is there some other meaning to this?

A female Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have just started dating this guy, maybe about 2 months or so. Sometimes, we'll be watching something on tv and then he'll just turn, look at me, and say hi. I find this kind of weird but I go along with it and say hi back since I am not too sure what he wants. My previous (he was my first boyfriend) did this too. Is there some other meaning to this? Or is he just happy to see me? Not really a pressing matter, just curious whats up with this.

johannabanana agony aunt@ big ron... Dang no need to over react!! LOL... And maybe he just wants to get your attention because you both have been zoned out and not been having much of a conversation. He could also potentially be bored. Try kissing him when he says that... See what he makes of that.
