hello,

this is ritesh , i am 27 years old , and my girlfriend is 22 yars old , we are in relationship between 4 years , but now my girlfriend parents not accepting me , they are forcing her to marry to some other. they have locked her in her house and giveing no chance to meet me or call me , i have tryed to talk with then but they are not agree to talk , so can i tack any leagle help against her parents , can you please advice me for that .

cute angel agony auntHey ritesh!I definitely think what they'r doing to your girlfriend is not right..they cannot force marriage upon her..but I see your from india and I believe that's how it works,where the girls have to marry according to their parents wishes which is soo unfair..if you love her,and deeply care about her,fight for her..take legal assistance and protect your love..there is nothing wrong in that!LOVE IS WAR after all..gluck x

Foot-In-My-Mouth agony auntSince she's an adult, what her parents are doing amounts to illegal confinement under the Indian Penal Code. You could try calling a lawyer or even reporting it to the police. However, the police being what they are might be sympathetic to her parents. Hence it's better to get a criminal lawyer for assistance. Try contacting some of her relatives so that they can talk sense into her parents. What they're doing is patently illegal. But first of all, be a hundred per cent sure that your girlfriend is being confined against her will.
