Vitamin C can help get rid of colds a little faster, and drink lots of fluids. As well, stay well rested. Dayquil can frequently help temporarily reduce symptoms so you feel like you can function.

No magic remedies. If you have a throat infection it can be treated with an anti-biotic such as amoxicillin which you would need to either see your GP or go to a NHS walk in centre to get. But if it’s just a virus then just try over the counter cold medicines, they won’t cure it but alleviate the symptoms.
Needless to say always read the labels and consult a pharmacist if taking any other prescription medication.

Other than that, I guess lots of vitamin c, chicken soup, liquids, herbal teas. Supposedly these will help but rest is what seems to work best for me.
