i haven't got my periods for the last 3 months.I've done a home pregnancy test twice and the results are negative.I have a doubt that i might not be getting it due to stress and change of location.I was doing night shifts for a long time.I'm now leading a normal life. Are there any home remedies to get my periods and to normalize it.

If your period does not come naturally you can start the pill on a sunday and then take them daily it will come. I had the same problem and now my period comes regularly with the help of the pill.

Blue_Angel0316 agony aunt I am not sure where you could go for help. Have you tried looking for a Missionary organization in your area? Are you from India and of the native origin? Healthcare in India is the responsibility of the individual Indian States. You might be able to find help thru a governmental agency.

If you are American try the Red Cross. I don't know if they would be in your area but usually they are found pretty much everywhere. Check local phone listings for the American Red Cross or the Indian Red Cross.

Hopefully this will give you some options if I can't think of anything else or perhaps another reader will know of something. They can post it here for you to get more information and also help anyone else who might have the same general problem.

God bless you and I hope you find the help you need.

Love_is_all_youu_need agony auntIf you're obese or anorexic your periods can stop! Has your body been through a major change recently? If not, then it could indeed just be stress!

Blue_Angel0316 agony aunt You are right stress can affect your menstural cycle. It can stop it from comming on. However this may not be the exact cause of the problem. Years ago I had this same problem. I wasn't pregnant but my natural cycle stopped for several months. I was concerned and went to be checked twice during this time. The doctor concluded that I should be put on birth control pills to help get it regulated again. It worked!

Not everything works all the time for any person so consult your doctor to be certain that you are not having any other underlying cause such as ovarian cysts ( I also had two of these!) and uterene or cervical cancer. Also to rule out something being wrong with the ovaries themselves (not ovulating or other).

If you don't ovulate and the eggs don't die off then you don't have a period. When the egg dies, that is why you bleed. You are cleansing the internal body of the old sloughed off dead eggs and cells. You don't have a period as a general rule (pregnancy ) if the tubes are not functioning properly ex:(tubal pregnancy has also been known to keep your period at bay.

Consult your doctor as it could be any number of underlying causes that might affect your chance at childbirth or affect your general health. Blessings to you and Godspeed.
