In more than 2/3rds of cases it's psychological. Possibly stress at work, things unconnected with your relationship. It's almost certainly NOT YOU!

Everyone can be psychologically affected. It can be anything from fear of commitment, fear of disappointing one's partner, or something serious like child abuse.I'm sure there are more issues. But if you suspect that you or someone you love is suffering from psychological issues affecting them in any serious way, then I would strongly advise that you suggest talking to a professional. Impotency is more common than people think, and it's not a shame. The important thing is that, with work, it can be fixed, if the person suffering is willing to try. Good luck!
