 Very ugly scenario posted here. The ugliest side of humanity actually. Your boyfriend is a bastard and I feel sorry for the ex-girlfriend, and I feel sorry for you. There is just something about bad men that makes women flock to them like bees to honey. I think he is cheating on whoever he can get with, it doesn't sound right if you have a male friend advising you of what's going on...
Can you approach a good close girlfriend to find out if she has anymore details - or help you figure out what's going on? My thoughts are actually with the ex-girlfriend and her baby. She must have gone through hell.

 The fact your bf dumped a pregnant girl for you indicates he was cheating her, with you. Now he appears to be cheating you with her. If your bf is cheating on you, with her, of course he wont be telling you about it, but making up stories about her seeing other men.
He is a cheater.
