i think if you think too much about being awkward and not having anything to say sometimes, then it makes it more awkward. just go with the silence. smile at him and quietly hold his hand to reassure him that everything's fine, you've just got nothing to say!guys are used to women being chatty, so when you clam up, they get nervous because they probably think you suddenly don't like him. and vice versa. but just don' worry so much, enjoy your first relationship. if you just aren't having fun, then end it. but if from time to time you feel weird, don't sweat it, you'll get used to eahc other.
