Question - (15 December 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 15 December 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My cousin stupidly had unprotected sex with her boyfriend 2 months ago in October. Before then, her periods were pretty regular arriving on the 12th, and very heavy.

However, a month after the sex she's said to have had her period on the 11th of November. It was heavy as usual, but as her period got lighter, for afew days after her discharge was still a brownish colour which was unusual for her, but she ignored it none the less thinking it was nothing.

But this month in December on neither the 12th OR 11th did her period come and its been 3/4 days since her expected period and is now quite worried.

SO, IS SHE PREGNANT?

Thank you, any help will be great. And she really is too embarassed to buy a test.

A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (15 December 2008):

TasteofIndia agony auntShe could be, she might not be. Why don't you go out and get a pregnancy test for her (it's not embarrassing at all when you know you're not the one who could be pregnant). Otherwise, she'll have to go to a doctor, which will be much more expensive than making a quick trip to the store and suffering the embarrassment for 5 minutes. The only people who will know she's getting a pregnancy test will be you, her and the cashier (who sees a million products a day and will surely not care about a pregnancy test).

Or go to the doctor, which is a good idea ANYWAY. While she's there, she can find out about the methods of birth control and her options.

Good luck to you both!
