Running is a great workout as long as you do your stretches first. Make sure you vary your route so you don't get bored and for safety reasons. Sometimes it's best to have a running partner for safety as well as inspiration and conversation.

Sorry, wrong flag - you aren't in the states - my mistake - join a running club.

Running works. It’s harder on the joints than swimming and walking. You are more likely to get injuries, which can be a big set-back. I assume you have running clubs in the States? If so, that might be a way to make sure you do the warm-ups and cool-downs right, and you are less likely to get bored. Boredom is the big problem with running or swimming. Unless you are really into it, you will find yourself making excuses to do something else after a while.

im a runnner, i work at jack in the box, i did not run for 2 months ( i run in high shool) and well i sorta lost my six pack =[ bummah, but i started running and im getting toned again. you should do pushups and sit-ups as well but everyother day, and run atleat for 30 minutes everytother day until you are in shape to run everyday. but remember to get some good running shoes to avoid injuries. and rest too. nothign wrong with it

I understand that swimming and walking are better options.
