writes:This is a story about me and My ex, She's a european girl My ex-girlfriend just broke me up a month ago. Well i'm not over it yet but that's not the point. She said many reasons to be saperated like I want to kiss her, I'm too nice, I'm not very funny like I was,I had time for her too much!!, etc.But the worst reason is that I AM THAI..... Well she compared me as Thai guys to White peopleand her buttom line is that she thinks a white guy is better than a Thai guy !!!!! For example, her birthday party was at her house and there was also a swimming pool party, sounds fun ? yeah it did. My ex was in the bikini and let the whole people see her in the bikini but i was NOT allowed to the party because she didn't want me to see her in the bikini !!! I asked her " What about those guys in the party ? " she said "those guys are wiht people, don't worry it's ok " Well when she and me went to the ocean she wore T-shirt and Pants to the water.I don't understand why she did something like that ? I really hate her now. Because she has lived in thailand for 15 years but that what she did to me and she also INSULTED Thai guys !!!! I have black eyes, black hair, dark-yellow skin but What's the matter ?I don't know what to say to her. Should i say "Welcome to Thailand, Sawasdee krab. Would you like to insult me " ? This is horrible !! She doesn't know what's she doing and I hope she'll never have a Thailand VISA again !!!p.s I'd love to know what you think about this story.Thank you all for reading ^^

dont get hung up on it pal, there are jerks all over the world. The ones that come up to you and call you names etc are easy to spot, the ones that hide it within themselves and then let it out once you're all comfortable with them are impossible to spot before its too late.
I wouldn't say she's racist, I would say she's ignorant, narrow minded etc
Like I said, dont get hung up on it, she wont be the last jerk you meet before you die and its not worth the brain space remembering them all

Now, I need to say that your case isn't unusual. There are so many people who don't care at all about races or cultures, and who like the difference; but there are other people who are not as tolerant. The problem is not race, but being different. You see, you're not like the people she's used to hang out with. It's not that you're bad; it's that you're different, and she can't handle the difference.
Sometimes, men and women date other people, of different races, because they seem exotic. Maybe this was your case. Once exotic was over, she had no room for you.
I need to highlight that this is not a "white-only" thing. People of other races do discriminate against whites, and sometimes in more hurting ways. It's common for whites to discriminate against colored people because of their skin; it's also common for colored people to discriminate against whites because of their way of being. Has anyone in Thailand ever said to you something like "Don't marry that white girl because she's loose", without the person who speaks having any proof of it whatsoever? People have stereotypes and never bother to really see the person before their eyes.
I can suggest this: put this behind you. Life is too short to focus on this kind of things for long.
