A female reader, anonymous, writes (2 August 2009):

if you get those mucus are red then you are having you periods.if the mucus is whitish or translucent then it could be normal.talk to your mother about it .dont fear her.it is normal to approach an elder.(woman).if you feel shy to speak to her of such things ,you could ask your sister, grand mother,or your aunts.dont ask friends they would lead to nothing.arent there any counsellers in your school?english teachers are often kind or you could try your biology teacher too.dont feel shy approaching elders is the best option.this option would lead you to the correct path.so today evening sit beside your mother and speak up every thing in your mind.dont say it infront of your father or brother or any male.understand?and if taking you to the doctor is the last option,go by it.doctors dont g in directly in for surgery and all that stuff.you just need small amount of counselling.

LoveDocBruce agony auntCan you be more descriptive? Is it clear, is it red? How often does it happen? When does it happen?

Knowing these things can help me help you decide what to do.
