writes: Hello, please help' I been with my bf for the last 3 years now' but 2 months ago he seemed to change, he said he was depressed and I really don't know how to deal with this. I miss him the way he is very much. but I cant force him to be the same if he said he is really depressed. Sometimes I think its my fault, maybe i'm the reason, maybe he's changed his mind to me now. Its just that he cant let go me easily because he knows its going to hurt me so much. I can only think that he's getting tired in our relationship It's already a hard time for me, what more if its true. Please any advice would be helpful.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 August 2007): Talk to him, and ask him what the source of his depression is. Don't make it about you though -- meaning, don't say, "Is it me?" He'll quickly tune out. Make sure he knows you are concerned and want to help. Chances are it's not you, as depression is caused by a hormonal issue, not necessarily a person.

Depression can have numerous causes. Dont think the worst!
