 1. You say you like him? You don't marry when you like someone, but when both parties involved are in love with serious future commitments in mind.
2. From your limited text, I get the impression that this is a one-sided crush/infatuation. Are you two dating? How long have you been together?
3. Women should never propose to any man. If a man loves you and if you're important to him, HE will ask to marry you. Men should work for women, trying to woe them and putting the extra effort in making them feel special. Asking him to marry you, shows that you're way more into him and that you have more feelings invested in him than he in you.

Give him a hint or espress that YOU LIKE HIM. See how he react.If he likes you as HOW MUCH as you love him, naturally he'll propose to you,instead of you take the first move. Love is pure& should come frm BOTH SIDES that commit themselves towards everlasting Marriage

 I don't see anything wrong with the age difference. But you should propose to him only if you love him. You say you only like him. Have you guys had a long relationship so far? Have you guys even lived together for a while? Do you know if he's into you as much as you're into him? Ask yourself these questions and think about what you would do before you make a mistake like this. I wouldn't do it if I were you, but it's your choice. Just make sure it's the right one.
