I'm not sure what I'm trying to do, if I think that friending him will spark his interest again or if I'm trying to show him I have moved on but a large part of me wants to show him no hard feelings we can still be friends despite how we ended it. I don't know, I guess my question is, is it possible to become just friends with an ex?

Ive an ex on facebook , but I ended it with her months ago, weve no hard feelings, shes become single again and she has feelings for me, her daughter told me, if its difficult for her to have me as a friend I dont know, but she remains dignified with it ,normally she doesnt chat,she did yesterday but like I say maybe its because shes single again , but im not at all interested.
Months before I joined facebook, she requested I joined it , I was seeing her at the time , so when I did join, her request was already there, another of my exs who I requested to be a friend didnt accept, I finished it with her, maybe she doesnt want me to know whats going on in her life , ive no problem with that, I know my ex reads my wall and I read hers, but we dont get jealous or anything , Its one thing having them on facebook , its another meeting up with them,I wouldnt take my ex off, life oes on eventually for oth parties I wish her all the best.
As for you adding your ex on, request it, but for the honest reason of friendship, if he refuses your request, dont worry about it, some people prefer it that way, personally im friends in a civil way with my exs,I speak if I see them about, but thats where the familiarity ends with it, ive two exs on facebook, my ex wife added me on then took me off after 3 weeks, funny thing is she requested me as a mate, I accepted , 3 weeks later she deleted me .lol I havent bothered to ask her why .
