writes:question..my bf and i had sex for the first time a week ago.we did use a condom but only after he had been rubbing himself against my clit.then i made him put a condom on straight away and we then had full sex.only now i've been told that i could still be pregnant!!Is this true??I'm so nervous!! whats the point in using a condom if if i can get pg just by him touching me??He wants to sleep with me again but I'm too scared now??please help..i'm only 16 and about to start college!! i do not want my life ruined before its begun!!

 it might not show a true result. can i just say that i've had like 2 pregnancy scares, and if you had just finished your period and had sex for the first time (like i did) and he was rubbing up against you it's very doubtful, just relax about it - getting worked up and worried might delay your period a bit due to the stress and get you even more worried. it might be worthwhile to get a pregnancy test that has two in the packet so you can do one now and then once again after your period is due if you're late. i agree with soulsista and advise you go talk to your gp about going on the pill it gives you back up and trust me it makes you feel a bit better about sex.

 You should never let a boy put his thing near your thing without a condom on. However, it is unlikely that you are pregnant unless he put his penis inside you without a condom on. Just get a test and check to make sure, but I'm sure you're not, unless his sperm are very determined!!!
Why not talk to your doctor about going on the pill? That way, you can use condoms and you still have a back up protection if you feel like you've had an accident.
Please don't be worried about this anymore, just always make him put a condom on at the beginning of your playing around, that way it doesn't ruin the moment either. Get a test done to put your mind at ease and forget about this, you're first time should be incredible, not ruined by all this worrying! See about the pill to avoid worrying in the future. Good luck.

Yes, theoretically you can get pregnant if there was sperm on his penis while he was rubbing it on your clit. In practise, you'd have to be pretty unlucky for that to be the case. The only way to be sure is to go and get a pregnancy test, bite the bullet and take it, I'm afraid.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 July 2006): well yes its true but its very doubtfull that u get pregnant on the first time u have sex u can get pregnant using any protection but its alright if u dont want to have sex again just tell ur bf how u feel then if he just dosnt understand tell him no because if he does somthing to u that u dont want him to do its technacally rape so just tell him how u feel kk xx
