I honestly cannot say if it will hurt or not. If you think you are with somebody who you trust and love enogh then do it, make sure its safe though. I dont know what your situation is but just sit the guy doqwn and explain the situation and how you feel, if hes a half decent guy hell understand, and for the love of peter hes a 16-17 year old boy, im sure hes thinking of it too!
