oh hun,
you should see me, i talk to a guy for a little and i have feelings for him, i actually meet my ex boyfriend on facebook and 2 days later we were going out and lasted 8 months together which was pretty shocking so its never to soon to get feelings for somebody just take the risk (:

you two talk everyday for how long? if its like for one week now its too early to catch feelings. You see, you knew each other since you were younger but there's a small possibilities of not knowing everything, and you cannot get to know a person well by just talking itself.
It would be better to stay friends for now and try not to be obvious about your feelings towards him, if you still wants to know more about him.
Some say you would only know the real person within him when you experience to be with him under one roof.

Feelings creep in when they creep in there is no set timescale.
How long have you been chatting this time?
In general, going with the flow rather than over thinking a situation like this is the best bet though. The more you focus on working out if feelings are real or too soon or too much, the less you know really. Thats why we call them feelings - they are felt rather than calculated.

I don't think it's too early to catch feelings, especially since you knew him when you were younger. You share that bond. I say go for it :)
