I just wanted to see what the public might think.
not that it matters. I like him for who he is not for how tall he is . I've mostly dated guys at my level or taller but change is good. And variety is also good :)

 My relationship is "based" on that. I am short for my country/race (the dutch are the tallest people in the world) and she is tall for race. Together, we fit precisely.
So yeah, I am one of those people who got a hang-up about a girl being taller then me. It is pathetic of course but people are the way they are.
If you two don't mind, then screw everyone else (figuratively) life really is too short to worry about a little height difference. If I had been more confident as a youth and not been totally intimidated by girls being taller then me I might have had a good chance with girls that ended up just being friends/co-workers/sport buddies.

 I don't think it should matter. I even find it a plus: if you're tall, there's more of you to love.
Though I don't recommend that you do crazy things, I DO recommend that you sometimes not pay attention to what people say.
I understand your point, though. Once I had a thing for a girl who was like five inches taller than I am. I found her hot. She couldn't believe I wasn't intimidated by her height.
Just be happy and date the guy!
