At the party one of my girl friends was following all the boys around and this boy was the one she stayed with for most of the night and I got really annoyed by it. Was I jealous or do I like him?The next the girls had said he wasn't interested in her he was never looking at her when she spoke but when he spoke to me he always looked at me and he would be different around me. Also he would be the first person to pick me up of I fell on the floor and little things like that became apparent to me! Does he like me ? Or am I being silly?

I would not buy those wedding rings yet :).
From your submittal I don't think we have enough to say that he DOES like you ( nor to exclude it definitively ).
Meaning, the guy may have said he wasn't interested in the other girl... but he ended up spending most of the night with her anyway, that would make me think...
Also, the girls say this, the girls say that...- in this tye of things, do not trust too much hearsay, trust your own observation, conducted by your own ears and eyes, and your own instincts.
Then, any action is significant only in the context of a RECURRING pattern, everything that happens once does not mean much. That night he was looking at you, that night he was attentive and helpful ( but how many times did you fall ?! ) , but unless that becomes sort of a pattern, for all we know it may just mean that he was looking at you because he liked your dress or because you had a smudge on your nose. Or because he was thinking " what's wrong with her, she is always tripping in her feet and falling to the floor ":).
Moral- do not consider it deal done, be patient and see what happens the next times you meet.
