Thanks for reminding us to be sensitive. Sometimes, due to the anonymity of the web, we aunts forget how personal this advice really is. My condolences to you for the loss of your friend.
If there's a possibility you're pregnant, go out and get a pregnancy test! That will clear up a lot of unanswered questions in your mind. Congratulations on clearing the cigarettes out of your life, by the way!! It's a hard habit to kick.

Of course it's possible for you to still have a baby. However, the sooner you quit and start getting healthy, the BETTER your chances are conceiving are.

Is it possible? Yes, of course it is. If you have unprotected sex then it doesn't matter how many things there are the make conception less likely, there is always a chance.
Is it advisable? No, not really. You know that smoking can damage both your own and the babies health and even if you aren't bothered about yourself then surely you wouldn't want to hurt your own child?
If you and your partner are thinking about starting a family then it's time you both thought thinking about what changes you need to make. Wanting and doing the best for our children means making sure everything is right, from conception and beyond.
