Young people - especially women, but also men - sometimes pick up bladder infections or vaginal yeast infections when they first become sexually active. The term "Honeymoon Bladder" is sometimes applied to these infections. I don't think they are technically classified as STD's or STI's, and they are "caught" more from the environment than from their partners. They can be VERY uncomfortable, but are quite easily treated. (The simple folk remedy of drinking a lot of cranberry juice is often effective.)

No, and yes. No, if they are clean you can't catch anything from them.
However, a lot STD's might not show. Someone can be a carrier without showing sympthoms.
So, unless the person has had a recent checkup, and has NOT had sex with anyone since and EVEN before the checkup, then they are clean. Else, use a condom.
Katiek is very wrong indeed, STD's are famous for lying dormant. If an STD instantly killed, it would never spread. Read up on incubation of for instance AIDS.

Herpes is another that can present no symptoms in one person but thenm flare up frequently in another.
It is also possible that a person would lie about having an STI. The only way to know for certain if someone is clean to see a medical certificate, as embarrassing as it may be someone with an STI should have the decency to warn their sexual partner and inform any previous partner that may have been exposed, STI's such as Chlamydia that might not show symptoms are easily treated, but can lead to more serious conditions such as cancer if not treated.

Is this a joke?!
STI means Sexually Transmitted Infection - therefore it is an infection passed on to another person through sex. Therefore if a person does not have an STI they cannot possibly pass it on to someone else! You need to be infected in the first place to be able to pass it on!
Some STI's do not have symptoms but when tested they still show up - all STI's show up on a test. For example men do not normally show signs of Chlamidya and can pass it on to another girl without knowing, however if the man went to the doctors and was tested for Chlamidya it would still show up on the test results.
The only way you could be in a situation where you think you have an STI from someone who does not have one is that the other person who claims they do not have one is lying - or they have slept with someone unprotected since they were last tested. The chances are that if you have an STI then you will have got it from some other sexual partner, not the one without any STI's!
Use condoms and these things would never happen!

It is not possible to catch an STI from someone who doesnt have one, but it is possible to give an STI to someone who doesnt have one. If you are worried get tested straight away and wear protection in the mean time or refrain from it all together until you get your results.
If you do have an STI you must inform your partner or anyone you have had sexual relations with in the past. In order for them to get treatment as STIs can cause serious long term damage if not treated.
Hope this helps.

in theory no. you can only contract an STI if the person you are dating/in a realtionship with has one. however there are some people saying that certain STIs can lay dormant until transfered to another person. but personaly i dont think its true.so no you cant
