I broke up with my long time boyfriend of 9 years to pursue a relationship with the new person. I've convinced myself that I'm in love with this person but only love the ex. I broke it off because I want more from a relationship than he was giving.I cant be with the ex because he's having a hard time if I'm not in love or can I?

"Is it possible to fall in love with someone after only 2 months?" Sure, I think it's possible if you've been dating for 2 months but have known each other longer. To first meet someone and then 2 months later be in love with them would depend on what your meaning of "in love is". I am just 1 man but this has never happened to me.
"I cant be with the ex because he's having a hard time if I'm not in love or can I?" Again, only 1 man here but I think you made the right decision to break things off. I wish you well!

I think it's possible. It depends on the person. Some people fall hard and fast. Others their love grows over time. I'm a hard and fast guy (at least in the falling in love department). It's gotten me in trouble in the past, but I recognize that it's who I am now. I'm usually hesitant to say anything when I start to feel it, because I'm always afraid it's too fast too, and it could scare them off.
