Dear Agony Aunts,

A really pretty girl who had a thing for me when we were teens died back in March from a heart problem. We didn't get to know each other as much as she wanted to due to interference by different people I was dealing with. Any girl who makes a pass at a boy who doesn't reciprocate even if he likes her will feel like a complete whore. Therefore, I think that her feelings were hurt at the time. Is it possible that she died of a broken heart years later as a delayed reaction?

I'm sorry she died but no. She died of a heart condition. You had nothing to do with it.

Why do you believe "Any girl who makes a pass at a boy who doesn't reciprocate even if he likes her will feel like a complete whore." I certainly never have done - a bit sad and disappointed maybe but not like a whore.

no, i think you're reading too much into it and the fact that you're making her death about you shocks me.

It has been known for people to "die of a broken heart" but in these cases the people were head over heels in love. This doesn't sound like the case.

However, I do think that if you think about it too much you could end up driving yourself up the wall, it's important for you to understand that this wasn't your fault. Don't blame yourself, it could not be helped.

No, not at all. It was a medical condition, that's all. Tragic, of course, but it has nothing to do with you in the slightest.
