I'm currentely in my placebo week I'm going to start a new pack tommorow. So presuming I had sex on Thursday that means I have a slight chance of getting pregnant if I actually didn't take my pills.. but, if I were to take them for just a week then stop until he comes back on 26th July is there any need? Probably, I would have to take all my pills for goodness is just a month..Any advice? Thank-you. Reply to this Question Share |

It took me about 3 months for my body to adjust to being on the pill, and in that time I had messed up periods and headaches etc. It's the same coming off at the other end.
Why put your body through a hormonal rollercoaster if you don't have to?
You might get emotional / period pain / weight gain all of the side effects as hormones control a LOT of things in your body.
I'd just stay on them.
Just a thought though - why do you want to come off? If they are doing odd things and you don't like them then go to your doctor, there are a million brands that you can try and you'll find a perfect one for you.
If it's just that you can't be bothered taking them every day then why not consider the implant? That lasts for 3 years.
Good Luck!! xx

I would just keep taking them as you say its only a month so why bother not taking them for a month either. Its not worth the risk if you dont want to get caught out. I always thought you shouldnt have sex the first month so wont there be a risk when he returns and you are both gagging for it (havent been on the pill for over 20 years so not up to date!) x

That actually depend on the pill you are taking and how fertile you and your partner are. I have a friend who got pregnant because she missed ONE pill. So, you should just probably continue to take them this month or consult a physician for specifics on the ones you take.
Good luck!

I'd just stay on them, I mean it's only a month and your body has adjusted to your schedule. Why mess it up?
