Iv heard alot about her shes nice, I dont just wanna go to her and say hey im dateing your friend so whats up though cause that would be awkward. I have about 50 people on my facebook friends list that I pretty much never talk to but that I know through friends etc.

It's not like you're entering into a cell phone contract or taking out a mortgage. Some people will friend anyone. Others will only friend people they know in real life. It's all up to you.I've never contracted H1N1 from a friend request, so I'm not really sure I understand what you're afraid is going to happen here... Just send a random friend request. Maybe message it with, "We have a few friends in common" so that she understands it's not completely random. Done.

 its probably ok for her to mention you. or just add her and if she asks why , just say oh im dating one of your friends or say we have some common friends so i just thought id add you.
