YummyMummy agony auntIts perfectly fine to drink after having a tattoo done if you feel alright. I did after my first one. I did drink before for a bit of dutch courage but I wouldn't recommend it, especially if it is hot and sunny as alcohol dehydrates you.

Miss_Oz agony auntIt's generally advised that you don't drink for 24 hours or so after getting a tattoo done, as alcohol thins your blood and can end up making the ink on your tattoo go a little wonky. I was told this by a tattoo-enthusiast friend, at first I wasn't sure if that was correct but I know someone who got drunk the same day as getting a new tattoo and it ended up a tad patchy in two places. So, I would wait, just to be on the safe side.
