I like her a lot but the age diffrance has me a little worried and people at my school tend to call people cradle robbers etc when they date people who are not in the same grade. I really like her but I want to make sure its ok for me to date her. Im 18 she is 16 and is a sophmore at my school, i know that the fact that im 18 will complicate things but is it ok..

Moviefan agony auntok thanks ive heard this from several people and i was making sure it was ok. I just know that if her parents really want to go after me i could end up in prison if ihave sex with her which i have never done with anyone and am not in a hurry. I havent had any of my ex girlfriends parents not like me. They usually think im really polite and attractive. But i dont feel like going to jail either...

But ill take the chance, i dont know when it may be tommorow or next week.

thanks for the help

A female reader, anonymous, writes (17 January 2008):

babe thats absolutely fine

no taboo what so ever

in england where i live that is the normal age gap in couples, girls like older boys and guy like younger girls in general (of course there are loads of exceptions but its cool)

if you like her enough then go for it and ignore the name calling, people judging.

they should mind hteir own business and who cares what they think, they arent the ones in the relationship

xx

A female reader, anonymous, writes (17 January 2008):

I'm 15, nearly 16, and my boyfriend's 17, nearly 18. We've not had any comments about age difference. The people who keep calling others unpleasant names are probably just jealous that two people really like each other enough to date. Just ignore them and go for it! As long as the girl likes you back, there's no reason why you two can't be together. Good luck!
