After i noticed quite a lot of blood on the bed sheets and it shocked me because i didn't realise how rough we must have been.I have never bled before that and am pretty sore. I am on the contraceptive pill so it's isn't my period. Is it normal to bleed after rough sex? The bleeding stopped the same night but there was quite a bit of blood and i'm still quite sore but not in agony or anything just uncomfortable.I'm not as sore now and have felt the soreness before as i'm quite tight but never drawn blood before.

Chafing pain after sex comes from small micro-cuts inside your vagina. So if the sex was extremely rough, it's possible he really hurt something. Sex that rough is bad for you body and increases your risk of infection. If it continues to hurt or you notice more bleeding, see your gyno. Make sure not to douche, and to wash your fingers (and have him wash his) to prevent infection until you "heal" a bit.

You can bleed after rough sex. But quite a lot of blood could mean something else as well. Try gentle sex from now on and see if the problem disappears.

Rough intercourse is not a good thing for your body. But, yes... Even regular sex after you haven't had any for a long time can cause bleeding.
If the bleeding was brief, over a 24 hour period and disappeared, then don't worry about it. If it continues, then see a doctor.

He might have accidentily cut you or something which caused you to bleed. If it's stopped now then it should be alright.. although im no doctor, if it starts to bleed heavily again and it isnt your period i suggest you go get it checked out JUST INCASE he has cut you really bad and you need stitches (lets hope ths NOT the case.. ouch!)
Hope this helps a little, and not worry you more!
