Hey Tasha,
I just asked my eldest grandson, and he said, "If I was working and got my own pocket money and then borrowed fom mum and dad, I fink they would ask for it back".
And he's 9!
Cute eh?

PS...
The difference here my luv is, asking if you can 'have' and asking if you can 'borrow'....
So, do not ask someone to lend you money and not expect them to want it back.
Ask them if you can 'have' some money and they wont expect it back.
Yeah?

If you 'borrow' something, then yes, you are expected to give it back, otherwise it wouldn't be borrowing. If they offered to give you the money as a gift, then that's a different story. I take it you've asked to borrow money off your parents and they're are expecting you to pay them back. Right? If that's the case, then I think it's more than likely that they're trying to educate you in to respecting the true value of money and to make you understand that if you've asked to borrow something then you must return it, especially if you have a job and earning.Never expect something for nothing, you need to learn that nothing in life is for free, regardless of whether that something is from your parents, your bank manager or your horse. Hope that made sense.BigSisxXx

At your age, they are supposed to cover most of your expenses, but, if you said you borrowed money, then you have to pay them back.
