I am aware of morning wood and so on and so forth, but we will be doing something as simple as watching tv and he gets one outta the blue? Please help and please be honest! I would hope he doesn't get that easily turned on by others, especially when I am sitting right next to him!

Sometimes he will point it out and I will be the one to just shake my head. lol Not a serious issue, just was wondering if it was normal. This is the first guy I dated as an adult that was like this. The rest were usually before sex or other things. Definitely do not stare at his crotch, he points it out..and he isn't exactly small.. Just was a random question! Thank you to all.

There's always a reason for it. Maybe he's thinking about something or maybe it's just his own hand brushed against it. Whatever. It's totally normal and don't read into it.

Definately normal :) Stop worrying. @ArtsyGirl has a very valid point... there are times you will get wetter than usual and not even had any sexy thoughts, it is the same for a guy.
And because it can be embarrassing, the last thing he needs is you making him feel more self concious about it.

Absolutely, I get random boners all the time, can be pretty embarrassing if you're in a place where it's not appropriate though! haha

Normal or not it isn't dangerous. Nor is it anything you should be insulted by, if he can't help it he can't help it. It is his body having a reaction after all, not him flirting or doing anything consciously!
I don't sit and watch my boyfriends crotch when we watch tv or do other things, so I honestly can't tell you if it happens normally to other men or not. However, all the boyfriends I have had in the past, including my current boyfriend, have told me specifically that it is not always under control. An erection might suddenly happen for no apparent reason. An erection might also happen if he's stimulated by anything, despite him not being mentally stimulated or actually wanting it. It's not more under control than any other bodily function. If someone grinds up against your boyfriend and he gets an erection it ISNT because he wants her. It is a natural reaction to the stimulation.
You just have to relax and learn to accept that it happens, and not make a big deal out of it.

Yes. It's like a second brain that just does it's own thing. Men, from teenagers through to their old age can get erections for no reason.

I assume it's normal. A woman can't control when she gets wet sometimes, so a man can't always be able to control his erections. Now he could be watching TV but thinking about you, so don't be too worried ;)
