writes: so about half month ago I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time and i sort of bled a lot that we had to stop. I had some spotting for the following few days, which seemed to be normal according to what others say online. Then 4 days later when I thought that everything should be just fine because after the hymen broke, technically I wasn't supposed to bleed anymore. However, right after we started, I began to bled again. Again we had to stop abruptly. I was so annoyed at that time, but that couldn't be the worst. Last night, I bled pretty bad and my boyfriend said it was worse than the first time; it was so true. This is starting to get so frustrating and irritating because it is a total turn-off and I'm afraid that my boyfriend would see me as a mood-killer; he might not even want to touch me anymore......Anyone had the similar experience?

JenL is verified as being by the original poster of the questionit doesn't quite hurt, only a little bit at the beginning but it was definitely acceptable. I enjoyed the sex so i think it was fine :)

Well, any size that hurts you when he enters is large to you. It's not supposed to hurt when you have sex. Im a bit "tight" down there, so need to be gentle when inserting the penis, even if it is a medium. It takes a while to extend your vagina to fit a larger penis. It takes less time to expand it from being virgin tight and to having a normal penis (or penis that is good for your natural size) inserted.
Size is relative in this case.
You still didn't mention if it hurts though. Does it sting, hurt, burn, or any other unpleasant feeling, when you have sex?

JenL is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthanks for your reply. No, the sex wasn't rough. in fact, he was very gentle and asked if it hurts. I don't know if his penis is considered large or not since he is my first guy, but he himself is sort of considered a large man i guess :)

reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2011): I am std free...cancer free..and in my late 20s. When my ex bf and I started having sex.. I bled bc he was bigger than my body was used to. Then...months later happened again, but we had some seriously rough sex. Is it rough? Is he larger? And is it when you guys are in a certain position? I myself was scared as I havent been a v since I was 15! But it can be normal. My biggest advice (no pun intended!) would be to talk to a gyno.. Maybe ask questions about this..and plz...plz make sure he is std free. Now u r having sex make sure to get pap smears at least once a yr. Good luck! And always be safe!

JenL is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthanks for all the replies ~ the thing is that, the second time when we were having sex, he didn't inserted his penis that deep & we stop right away when we saw a little blood coming out, so the bleeding wasn't serious. And pretty quick afterward, it stopped too. The third time, which was the worst, happened after 5-10 minutes when we were having the intercourse. However, same as before, the bleeding stop after we stopped having sex. I just get some spotting, but this time its no longer spotting for several days, it stops pretty quick. Could it be because the hymen didn't break totally at the first time? i heard it happened to some people but im not sure, that's why i appreciate all your opinions ~

When you bleed, does it also hurt? Or is it just blood?
I've bled when the penis has been too thick and it's actually torn me up. But, the pain at those times has been noticeable to put it that way, also the bleeding didn't last for long.
Check with your GP. It could be normal, and I doubt it is anything dangerous, but at least your GP can give you a proper explanation and help you to know how to proceed next. If there is an issue you need help with, best to get professional help. It could be all you need is extra lube, for all we know.

hello hun,Bleeding during or after sex is not considered normal and therefore should be evaluated at all times. The only time bleeding during or after sex is considered normal in some cases is if you are having sexual intercourse for the first time and the first few times after having sex for the first time. Some causes of vaginal bleeding after sex, such as vaginal dryness after menopause or in some cases by the use of certain types of birth control pills are not serious and may be easily treated. However, in some cases, vaginal bleeding after sex can be a sign of a serious underlying problem, including: - Inflammation of the cervix - Sexually transmitted diseases, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea. - Cervical polyps. - Cervical ectropion, a condition in which the cervical tissue is more susceptible to abrasion. - Endometriosis or ovarian cysts.- Pelvic inflammatory disease. - Uterine fibroids. - Cancer of the cervix, uterus or vaginaso if this persists i advise for you to go see your doctor, hope this helped :)
