Course you're not, I did it for a few years and I started when I was 12 until I was almost 15 and I have to say though, it wasn't exactly great for me and it took a while to get used to it. Try it out and see if it's for you or not; after all, you've got noting to lose. You have to have a sense of rhythm in you, co-ordination and flexibility, trust me, I've been there, otherwise you may find it a bit tricky and it is also a lot harder than it looks, but if it interests you then you don't have to be pro to still enjoy it {:

and be careful, if you do decide to start ballet, then make sure you can find an adult beginners class…you don't want to make a fool of yourself by going into a studio of girls who have been dancing their whole lives…or by ending up in a studio w/ a bunch of little girls

I took up horse riding at 40 so im guessing its is not too late to try anything as long as your GP has no medical reason to stop you and you are passionate, fit and supple, like dance and are prepared for the aching feet and legs etc.
Ring up a ballet school and ask them thats the best way forward.
Good luck

It's one of my new years resolutions to try ballet and I'm 25!
I thought it might be like yoga and step aerobics combined into one so fun and good for toning up.
Go for it and if you find a good adult class for beginners then let me know!
Good Luck!! xx
