But then I have to get on the bus and he continues walking home with his friends. I find it really embarassibng catching the bus, especially in front of him. Is it an embarrasing thing? Am I worrying over nothing?

I think being embarrassed is simply a sign of your age.For instance when I was in Elementary school sometimes my mom would put chips in my lunchbox, but not the snack size. You know chips she had bought of the value size and put in a clear ziplock. It embarrassed me so bad I never publicly ate them. Now It makes me laugh and most people who know me have heard that story.I promise he doesn't think you are wierd or a dorkbutt or anything,or else he wouldn't walk with you every day. Also when you do feel how you are feeling now it's probably a good time to watch "Freaks and Geeks".It always puts me in a good mood, when I feel what I call manic panic geek streak. How this makes some sort of sence.Peace.

I love riding the bus. It's better for the environment, and there are interesting people to talk to. Or I can read a book. If I have a choice between mass transit or driving, I prefer to drive, every time! Your guy may actually admire that in you, you never know.

Hi Anonymous,
I used to be embarassed to ride the bus, too. I couldn't wait until I could drive or until I could catch a ride with a friend.
But the truth is that, looking back on everything, I was too worried thinking about what a nerd I must have looked like that I didn't even think about if anyone actually cared! And nobody did care.
I think the chances that your crush thinks anything of you riding the bus is slim to none. If I were you, I'd just concentrate on getting to know him better. Besides, it could give you an excuse to exchange numbers, etc if you're in the middle of talking and then have to get on the bus. ^_^
Hope my experience and answer has helped you! Take care.
