Question - (20 October 2010) 3 Answers - (Newest, 21 October 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

A few months ago i dated a guy around my age. It didnt last long and it sort of drifted apart. I regularly see his sister in law and she keeps me up to date on if hes ok ect. Last weekend i went to her partner's (his brother) 21st party and he turned up with someone else. I dont know what i was expecting but it really hurt and ive found myself thinking more and more about him since then. Is this just because I've seen him with someone else or do i really like him and if this is the case what should i do?

Denise32 agony auntWell now. You don't know if this is a new girlfriend that he has acquired, or just someone he took to the party as a date, do you?

Maybe you could talk to his sister-in-law and see what she says. If the other woman was a casual date, there might be a possibility for you to invite him out - assuming there was nothing more to drifting apart, than something such as not enough time to get together, busy schedules, etc. with no real lack of interest or something like that.....
