I'm starting to form really close bonds with my friends. This is great cause as a little kid i was a bit socially awkward. The only problem is now I always want to be around them. Well, only one in particular, which is normal i guess considering i like her more than everyone else. i guess the true questions here are:

-is it bad to always want to be around your friends?

AND

-if so, how do i become a bit less obsessive?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (10 January 2010):

It's not bad to want to be around them a lot, but clearly you're worried that you're becoming too reliant on them. If you are worried, then the best thing you an do is take a step back and look at your own life. Focus on yourself sometimes, maybe take up a hobby that you can do by yourself? I think because you found it tough earlier in life, you're now making up for it. so focus on yourself and your own confidence, and you'll be just fine.
