 i think he is gay but he's not really out of the closet yet due to people being anti gay or his family disowning him and finding it hard to come to terms with.

Well no straight guys I know do anything sexual with other dudes. I think he's gay, but fears all the critisizing that can come with it. Maybe his family would disapprove, or his friends etc. I wouldn't pressure him to admit that he's gay- just have fun with the situation and once he's comfortable enough with it - he'll come around. Or at least he'll admit it to you- then everything else will work itself out in time.
