I have a question about what turns men on. I have been sleeping with a guy for way over a year and recently he asked me to do something in bed that made me wonder and got embarrassed for him. He wanted me to play with his anus. I didn't want to at first but when it gave him ALOT of pleasure, I did it. More than 1 time. Now it makes me wonder, is he a closet gay man or he is just a freak in bed? He has been to prison or four years and it REALLY makes my mind wonder. I need some insight on this please.

A female reader, Onieros United States +, writes (27 August 2011):

A person can't be turned gay, so no, being in prison didn't make him gay. Neither does anal play mean that he's either gay or a freak. Anal play is common amongst heterosexuals, and women can enjoy it as much as men. Even if he asks to be pegged (female penetrating male ass) that does not mean that he's gay, it means that he's kinky and being open with you. There are a lot more intimidating kinks out there too.

Now, if anal play squicks you out then you need to be honest with him. However, you might also consider the possibility that it could feel good for you too (so long as you go slowly and gently and lots o' lube.)

Be flattered that he's sharing this intimate side of himself with you. It does not mean he's gay, but it does mean he trusts you enough to tell you what pleasures him.

RedAthena agony auntAnal play doesnt mean hes gay. It means it feels good.

There are lots of nerves between the anus and perineum. (Same for the male and female anatomies) and some folks just find it pleasurable.

Many women also like this area stimulated.

If you are really adamant against it-say so. Otherwise rest assured that he is probably very hetero.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (25 August 2011):

The prostrate located in the anus is a g-spot for men, not just gay ones. This is a really common request from straight men and has nothing to do with being gay.

Now if he asked you to put on a strap on and do him from behind, then I would worry.

A female reader, spanishquerida United Kingdom +, writes (25 August 2011):

You are aware that women have a G Spot in their vagina, yes? Well a man's G Spot happens to be in his anus. It's called the prostate. Some men love this to be stimulated, as some women love their own G Spot to be stimulated. It does not make him gay OR a freak in bed. In fact it's actually increadibly common. In my years I've come across so many men who wish this to be done to them, and to be honest I can understand it. Maybe it is something he picked up in prison, maybe it isn't, and he may be gay, but it is not in ANY way indicated from the anal stimulation. So don't base whether or not you question his sexuality on that. As far as I'm concerned, it's 100% normal.
