 first off you said he smashed his phone, did he take out the sim? You could try photne him from a phone he does not know.
Just because he might be at his ex wifes house does not say he is sleeping with her, if he is in a bad place in his head she might still think enough of the father of their child to let him stay even more so if she wants to get one in on you, he needs time as he told you , he will shw up and then you will know if he wants to stay or go, you see your love for him is no good on its own as you can't make him love you
