Is Emilio jealous?

Question - (1 September 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 1 September 2010)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I'm laughing so very hard right now as I write this and its from one part amusement and one part confusion. You see, my bf usually calls me right after work at 7. Yesterday, he didn't so I sent him a text. I assumed he was working late, no big. So then my friend Alex calls and we're off talking about random things for a few hrs, so Alex invites me to hang out at this crepe shop cuz we talked about nutella :p and right then, my bf calls. I tell Alex I'll call him back and that darn green button on my cell makes it so I keep getting Alex instead of "Emilio" my bf so when I finally get Emilio, I think its Alex and I go, "call ya right back homie." Emilio goes, "what? Who were ya talking to?" I tell him and he says, "Your extra bf?" I laugh and say no. And then Emilio says, "you'd better not have one or else, I'd kill you." I crack up because he says it lightly, but he laughs about 5 seconds later. When we hang up, he says nothing sweet even though we were joking and being sensual. Is he jealous? P.S Emilio is older.

The Realist agony auntHe might be over reacting thinking that you were just making fun of him. Some people don't take jokes very well. He did take it a little too far when he said "I'd kill you". That just doesn't seem to be joking although I don't know how he actually said it. You know his tones far better then anyone here.

I wouldn't say he is jealous but I think that he is fustrated because you had your attention focused on the friend and he wanted to be the center of attention. Let him know it was all a joke/phone trouble and that you love him and he should forget all about it.
