Is the second date too early for dinner and a movie at his place? Don't want him to think something in the wrong direction is going to happen but also don't want to offend him. I'm really old fashioned when it comes to dating...what do you all think? Is it too soon for a date at his place?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (2 March 2010):

The movie is fine, but the dinner at his house will put pressure on you to have sex. So if you want to make it clear you're not ready to take it that far, then by all means go to the movie, but maybe suggest you do something else for dinner.

jdferns666 agony aunt1stly stop considering yourself old fashioned. its good to be a little reserved to avoid being taken advantage of.

you have to 1st decide what do you expect from the relationship? jus friendship or taking it to the next level.

if its only friendship then confine most of the meetings to the day or early evenings..

and even if you are looking for a relationship ..i suggest you give it time during the day for a considerable period in the begnning. then go ahead with night outs and stuff.

do not rush into things. women generally have the upper hand to say a flat NO.. when they are not ready. take advantage of that and make the rite choice.
