Im 20 and she is 17. Is that ok? Im from the UK and the legal age of consent is 16 so its not wrong in the eyes of the law or anything, but some friends and family seem to find it just a bit too much. I can kind of see their point but at the same time i just think should do what i feel is right for me. Anyway, though and opinions would be very welcome, thanks. Reply to this Question Share |

it's legal where you are (not here in the states mind you)
three years is nothing in the long run but right now it might be a bit of an issue as 20 is very different from 17 whereas 23 is not that big a difference from 20....

it is not a massive age difference, go for it!

I'd say it's perfectly fine. With respects to legality, of course, which isn't a problem in your case I guess.

I think 17 and 20 is fine for the most part, just remember that she IS younger then you, even if she seems mature.
Take it slow, let your family and friends see that you really care about each other.

A 17 year old is still developing mentally in alot of ways so keep that in consideration. If you are going to pursue you should expect alot changes in your relationship and take it very slow.
