I've always had kind of big hips in comparison to the rest of my body, and for my size and weight. I'm pretty satisfied with my body shape, but I'd like to get an even smaller waist if possible. It's not a big deal or anything and I know I look fine the way I am, it's just if I had my pickiest pick I'd go a little smaller. For a girl of my weight and size would it be unreasonable or unhealthy to shoot for 34-22-35 or thereabouts? Without, of course, using corsets or some other kind of unnatural junk like that. As the model person said...your bust and hips should be the same and your waist a good 10 inches smaller. As far as trying to control the natural tendency of your body...that will be a challenge. What I have found that if I lose weight, it always comes off the top first and if I gain weight, to goes to the bottom first.
I think you are fine the way you are.

Plus my boyfriend tells me all the time that he loves to feel along my torso because it starts out small and busts out at the hips, so I get a lot positive reinforcement from him. I was just saying that if possible I wouldn't mind having a smaller waist. I think it might just be because I'm getting into the 40s-50s silhouette which I'm told is nearly impossible to attain these days short of corsetry ha, perhaps rightly so. I actually wouldn't mind my hips looking bigger though ha, I didn't mean to make it sound like big hips are a flaw - I actually think big hips look really pretty (in most cases).I do have a pretty small chest (well, 34B, which feels small to me, but I'm not sure if that's considered small or average really), so the underwear/clothing suggestion sounds pretty good. When you say "side abs", anonymous, do you mean the obliques? Because I was wondering if working those would help as well.

Well if your waist went any smaller your hips would look even bigger, do you really want that?! You are already very small and I wouldnt advise you to try and make yourself any smaller, you will be risking your health by doing so.
I would follow the advice of the other two posters here - use clothing and underwear to give the illusion of a smaller waist rather than forcing your body into an unnatural shape. Waist belts are very fashionable at the moment and make your waist look even smaller, so use something like this rather than trying to change your body.
By the sounds of it you have a great figure and your body will be settled into its natural shape. Dont try and be something your not, most women would love to have a figure like yours so just be proud of what you have!
I hope this helps!

I actually work as a director for a modeling agency. I can assure you that your measurements are perfect for your build. Your chest and hips should be the same size or very close. Your waist should be no more than 10" smaller. So if you are 34-24-35...that is pretty much as perfect as you can get!

With how small you say you are, the only way you'll get that waist smaller is by being anorexic! You're tiny as is. The three things I'd recommend for you are: 1. get a padded push up bra. If your chest looks larger, your waist will look smaller (I'm not saying you have a small chest, I'm just saying if you're really that determined this is a good place to start). You can also work styles where the waist is cinched, like a blazer with a thin belt around your waist or any fitted style. Two, work on your side abs. You have these two criss crossing muscles in your abs that if you work them will make your sides look more toned and tight, creating a very nice waist. The third and most important though is for you to stop stressing about your waist size. You're already tiny! As long as you're not fat (and you're NOT, again, you are tiny) your waist is genetic, and guys love girls curves. They're not sitting there with a tape measure, they're going oh wow check that out! I always thought my waist was enormous, especially since my friends had such small fashion magazine waists. Then my friend's boyfriend commented on my "sexy curves" though his girlfriend had a smaller waist (yeah he was a little inappropriate when drunk). My boyfriend also LOVES the line of my waist and hips, though I've always hated it. I've learned to love it now, and you should do the same. This is kind of like breast size. Girls stress about it, but guys love them in all shapes and sizes.
