Shadow Rose agony auntYou should start dating when you feel you are ready to be in a relationship.

So many children in my old middle school would date, even though I knew for a fact that those sixth graders weren't ready, because they believed that was the predetermined age that they must start dating.

I waited till I was a junior in high school to start dating, because I wasn't ready, or interested (Yeah, right, nobody was interested freshman or sophmore year, I was ready by then! lol) but I just kinda did start dating when it just felt right.

Well in America kids are dating at too young an age and I think it's somewhat stupid.

You can start dating as long as it doesn't get in the way of your studies, that's what I do. It's perfectly normal to be scared about having a first relationship, I was.

Your family is right, but so are you. If you are able to study AND be in a relationship, then go for it. Good luck! It should be fun!
