I have only been working at this fast food restaurant for a month and a half. I just now getting the hang of things. Yea I make mistakes and yea it takes me longer but I wanna make sure everything is right because I would won't my food right. I don't see why they gotta say I'm slow and restarted when they talk about me. They don't say it directly to me or say comments in a mean way. But you now u being talked about when u leave the room and over hear comments. Especially after I make a mistake. I' don't see why I gotta be called slow and retarted. Especially after I Make mistakes. They thinks it's to simple and I should've have made mistakes. But learning a whole menu and condiments and what goes where isn't easy. I hope they dont fire me because this job is excellent for a college student like myself because of the flexible hours. It works well but I am gonna start looking for another that will work great with school. I tired of going to work nervous and scared that I might make mistakes or worried my co workers and managers will talk about. I already think one manager doesn't like me as much but o well. I go to work so nervous. I try to tell myself forget them and everyone makes mistakes. But I end up getting sad, upset, or scared. What should I do to help myself until I find another job?

I'm sorry you feel so uncomfortable working at your job. I know you're working hard and really want everyone to enjoy their food. Your co-workers/ managers should have noted the progress that you've made since you've worked there. And if they haven't, and you continuously are treated bad by them, I would report that to the human resources department or someone higher up from them. Their behavior is unacceptable.
Having a job in this economy is a blessing, but it would be more of a blessing if you find a better job with people that treat you with respect.
I wish you the best on your search to find something better.
