Your only 13, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Did you have any male touch you sexually when you were younger? That can implant gay tendecies in males. If not, just try to stick to girls, you may find as your body developes and changes you grow into it. You've got so many hormones raging right now anything is likely to turn you on. Don't sweat it too much. Even if you are eventually gay, there's nothing wrong in it and you just have to accept what God gave you.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 March 2010): I think that you're a bit young to figure it out yet. A lot of people feel confused at your age about who they like. Being gay is not a bad thing and you should give yourself more time to see who you like and end up with in the end.
If you're really gay then approaching or being approached by men will get easier for you. If you are straight, you might end up with a girl. It sounds like you could also be bisexual.
I consider myself straight, but I get a few girl crushes now and then (in total 3 in my life). But I've never been with a girl, only men. Just don't worry about it yet, don't panic. You will probably figure it out with your first partner. Don't rush into any conclusions and enjoy life however it turns out. Good luck!
